Homeschool Day Off
Hi Everyone,
We took today off. Jules and Sin did “science” experiments with mud, water, syringes and the like for about 3 hours in the garden this monring. It’s winter here and cold, but in the sun you warm up quickly and they had the greatest fun. They now have a friend to play and are giggling as usual!
I spent the morning working on my website and an “alternative Blog” I have at www.rinf.com, go to homeschooling and you’ll see it. The “rinf” blog, are my most extreme views and because of this I’ve kept it seperate to this website, which is mainly informative. But if you want my brutally honest opinion go have a peep.
Here in South Africa, the public and private schools will be having nearly a months’ holiday shortly.
We’ve taken to Homeschooling nearly 5 days a week, all year round, other than a weeks break every now and again. I’ve found this works best for my 2 kids, as the holidays are too long and they get bored and start asking to do “school!” I found this out at the end of last year. That’s when we came up with the short 1 week break now and again. It works best for us.
Gotta go, my bread is about to come out of the Breadmaker. See you again tomorrow!
Love S.
