A TRULY BIZARRE DAY
Okay so school wasn’t the only thing that went weird today. First thing this morning. My kids and I nipped out onto the deck, me to inhale fresh air and inject caffeine into my tired body, the kids to look at the mountain and ask me repeatedly, “Can we start school now?”
This in itself was the most normal thing that we did today.
I heard a weird banging noise behind our house and leaned over the deck and glanced into 1 of our neighbours gardens. Well thats when things took a turn for the peculiar. He shouts at me, “Sorry for the noise, I just need to get my sheep out of the house, shes eating the curtains and cushions.” Bear in mind we don’t live in a rural area, there are still a few farms dotted in amongst the houses, but not right next door to us.
Well that was it, out popped this sheep which he then said we could have or it was going to the butcher. Well sorry mate but I can’t take a sheep right now, so the butcher it had to go to.
Then we start school, and as we decide to take a break, and take some snacks out onto the deck, another neighbour pops across and wants to have a look at our norwegian forest cats. He stayed for about half an hour as we chatted about solar energy.
My life is certainly far from dull.
Then we did a bit more school, started to boil and want to kill and bite each other, so I sent the kids out to swim. Then out of the blue another neighbour leans over the fence and tells my kids, shes made them hotdogs for lunch, which they took and ate merrily, God Bless her!
It was certainly a bizarre and unusual day. From sheep to cats to solar energy to out of the blue and for no reason hot dogs. And then to top it all StJohn decided to try out a rude word he picked up from a homelsess couple who decided to have a minor scrap outside our house last week. Telling my other neighbours daughter to Pi** off then. Really I can do without this today. Shocking to my system.
No wonder I have a cracking headache! I need a bit of peace and quiet. But at the same time, though the events were peculiar, what beautiful, kind people were on the other end of them. We have stunning neighbours. It’s so good to be home.
Please pray that I’ll have a constructive day tomorrow. Blessings, to all
Suexx
