Our Waldorf Homeschool Journey

Hi Everyone,

Today was one of those focused days, where everything goes smoothly, for a Monday this is heavenly. We had a lot to get through this morning and were finished within 2 hours. Just a good day!

StJohn did his next letter, which was M, for Magical mountain, the journey in Letterland continues, King Kyle, Lolly the Leopard have now met Marvellous Monkey and they’ve set off to cross the Magical Mountain. StJohn is absolutely captivated by the stories he’s hearing. I need to come up with another one by Wednesday, minds blank at the moment, but it’ll come it always does.

He drew a Mountain out of the letter M, similar to the one I drew on the blackboard, and he put a beautiful rainbow peeping out behind it and a shooting star and of course Marv the Monkey!

I love teaching Grade 1 the Waldorf Way. It just incorporates the whole child and your imagination can run wild! Both StJ and mine!LOL!
